Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee the day-to-day warehouse operations of the assigned department. Plan and allocate headcount, work tasks, and operational priorities in line with the business plan to ensure all activities are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently.
2. Manage blue-collar employees within the department, including daily scheduling, training, and performance follow-up. Distribute tasks and shifts appropriately to ensure adequate staffing for daily operations; identify and resolve team issues in a timely manner.
3. Handle operational exceptions as they arise, including issues related to goods, systems, inventory, personnel, and transportation. Coordinate with relevant departments promptly, analyse root causes, and drive the implementation of solutions.
4. Monitor departmental KPIs and performance against company-set operational targets, including operational efficiency, accuracy rate, on-time rate, inventory discrepancies, and other relevant metrics. Compile and analyse operational data regularly and report to management.
5. Supervise compliance with the company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), identify process gaps and risks in a timely manner, propose improvement recommendations, and continually enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
6. Proactively identify efficiency and quality issues in warehouse operations; improve overall departmental efficiency through process optimisation, staffing adjustments, and working method enhancements.
Departmental Scope
Depending on the specific role assigned, the Supervisor will be responsible for the operations of one of the following departments:
Inbound: Receiving, unloading, inspection, and put-away of goods, together with the associated system operations, to ensure timely and accurate inbound completion.
Outbound: Order picking, goods preparation, packing, and outbound dispatch to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on schedule.
Shipment: Goods despatch, vehicle loading, and transportation handover; coordination of transport arrangements to ensure goods are shipped on time as planned.
Inventory: Inventory management, inventory accuracy, stock counts, discrepancy investigation, and data maintenance to ensure system inventory aligns with physical stock.
